How we work

A clear process from first conversation to launch

Every project begins with your business, audience and goals. Design decisions follow from a clear understanding of what the website needs to achieve.

First conversation

A clear starting point

We discuss your goals, timescale and requirements, then confirm whether Webflow is the right platform for the project.

Your proposal

Everything agreed in writing

You receive defined deliverables, exclusions, price, payment stages and target timing. Every website proposal includes 12 months on the Webflow Premium Site plan.

Step by step

What happens at each stage

01 · Research

Discovery

We examine the business, customers, competitors, offer, proof and existing material.

02 · Structure

Architecture

Pages, navigation, content hierarchy and conversion routes are mapped.

03 · Look and feel

Design

The visual direction and responsive system are developed around approved content.

04 · Build

Development

The approved direction is built in Webflow with reusable classes and CMS structures.

05 · Feedback

Review

Defined feedback rounds give you clear opportunities to review the work and keep the project moving.

06 · Quality

Testing

Responsive behaviour, links, forms, indexing, accessibility basics and redirects are checked.

07 · Go live

Launch

We connect the domain by changing only the DNS records required for Webflow, preserve existing email records, test the site and forms, and complete the controlled launch.

Handover

Your three ownership options

The website launches in your own Webflow account. You then choose client-owned handover, supported ownership or a managed care plan. Webflow bills you directly for hosting renewal from year two.

Clear communication

A transparent process at every stage

You will know what we need from you, what is being produced, which decisions are due and how the project is progressing.

What we need from you

Your part in the project

You know your business better than anyone, so your input shapes the result. Early on, we ask about your customers, your best work, your competitors and what a good enquiry looks like. You do not need a polished brief. A conversation and a few examples are enough to start.

During the project, we ask for timely feedback at each review stage and any content you are supplying, such as photos or team details. Clear deadlines are agreed for both sides, so the project keeps moving and launch dates stay realistic. If something on your side changes, we talk it through early and adjust the plan together.

Working together

How communication works

One contact throughout

You speak directly with the person planning, designing and building your site. Questions get answered by the person who made the decision.

Video, phone or email

Projects run by video call, phone and email, which suits busy owners in Cornwall and clients elsewhere in the UK equally well.

Clear review rounds

Defined feedback rounds give you proper chances to shape the work, without the project drifting or stalling.

After launch

What happens once your site is live

Launch is not the end of the job. We check that pages are indexed, forms deliver, redirects work and analytics records visits. You get a walkthrough of the Webflow Editor so your team can make routine updates with confidence.

From there, you choose how much help you want. Some clients take full control. Others keep us on a website care plan for updates, checks and improvements. Either way, the website stays in your own account. See our pricing for support options.

FAQs

Questions about the process

How long does a website project take?

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback come through. Your written proposal includes a target timing for each stage, so you can plan around it. Smaller sites move faster than CMS-led builds with migrations.

Do I need to write all the content myself?

Not necessarily. The Business and Advanced packages include copy development support. On any project, we help structure your content so each page has a clear purpose, and we can shape your notes into usable copy.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. Projects run smoothly by video call, phone and email. This works well for busy owners who cannot block out half a day, and it means businesses anywhere in the UK get the same process.

Will my email stop working when the site launches?

No. When we connect your domain, we change only the DNS records Webflow needs and leave your email records alone. We check everything is working once the new site is live.
