Replace the store without losing control of what already works.

When this is appropriate

A rebuild is not a cosmetic reskin.

The platform is holding you back

The current system makes products, campaigns, integrations or routine management unnecessarily difficult.

The storefront no longer reflects the brand

The visual design and customer journey undermine trust or make the catalogue hard to understand.

Growth has created operational friction

Products, markets, apps, data and internal processes have accumulated without a coherent structure.

Migration control

What is examined before anything moves.

Current platform and data

Products, variants, customers, orders, gift cards, discounts, reviews, subscriptions and content are inventoried.

Search visibility

Existing URLs, high-value landing pages, metadata, internal links and redirect requirements are mapped.

Apps and integrations

Every app is reviewed for purpose, cost, data dependency and a suitable Shopify replacement.

Operational workflow

Payments, tax, warehouse, delivery, customer service, returns and reporting responsibilities are documented.

Design and conversion

Navigation, product discovery, mobile use, accessibility and purchase friction inform the redesign.

Launch risk

Data cut-off, DNS, email, order processing, rollback planning and post-launch monitoring are agreed.

Included

Rebuild, migrate, verify.

New Shopify storefront

A new store structure and bespoke visual design based on the current business, not the limitations of the old site.

Controlled data transfer

Agreed product, customer and content data is cleaned, mapped, tested and imported using the appropriate migration route.

Redirect and launch plan

Old URLs are redirected where required, tracking is checked and the transition is monitored after launch.

Migration complexity cannot be priced responsibly from a product count alone. Subscriptions, customer passwords, historic orders, reviews, gift cards and bespoke systems may require separate tools or specialist support.

Your responsibilities

Access and decisions must be available.

Administrator access

Current ecommerce, domain, analytics, payment and relevant third-party systems.

Data owner

A person authorised to approve what is transferred, corrected, excluded or retained.

Operational validation

Your team verifies prices, products, stock, customer records, tax and fulfilment rules.

Launch availability

The responsible people are available for final checks and live-order monitoring.

Migration stages

No blind switch.

01

Audit

Inventory the store, data, URLs, apps and business processes.

02

Rebuild

Design and develop the new Shopify storefront.

03

Rehearse

Run sample imports, redirects and complete end-to-end tests.

04

Cut over

Complete final migration, domain launch and post-launch checks.

Will customer passwords move?

Password migration depends on the source platform and chosen migration route. This is checked during technical discovery and never assumed.

Will rankings remain identical?

No ranking can be guaranteed. Careful URL mapping, redirects and content migration reduce avoidable risk, but search engines decide rankings.

Can the old store stay live while you work?

Usually, yes. The new Shopify store is built separately and the final changeover is planned after approval.
